While SM has plenty of flaws, the overall arc for Lillie was really well done I thought (maybe the dialogue could have been cut down but at the heart of it, very good) Plus seeing Lillie grow as a person for the first time was also really unique to the Pokemon games, and we saw some really good character development as she finally stood up for herself to Lusamine in Deep Space - and Lillie saying good-bye to Nebby was also a very emotional and sad moment for the games. She was super terrible - cryogenically freezing Pokemon she loved, controlling Lillie and being awful towards her, and being utterly selfish in her own goals - as well as being one of the most unique bosses (who could've predicted we'd see a human & Pokemon fusion ever?). Lusamine in SM was actually well done imo. If you play gen 4, you always go for Platinum or HGSS because of the insane amounts of post game content in those games compared to Diamond and Pearl.īut what I'm looking for here is replay value: between Sun and Ultra Sun, which one is more replayable? Which on has a more compelling difficulty? I'm sure I could find this stuff out for myself, but that's why I'm turning to Reddit, because there's merits to both games. So, the question is simple: which is the better pokemon experience? Gen 7 is weird because there's not a lot of extra features to debate about if you want to play gen 6, you always play ORAS because its a more difficult game with a better story. Mario Maker 2 comes out tomorrow, and I need to get rid of one of these pokemon games so I can afford it. Let me just cut to the chase, I've already played both games, enjoyed both of them as pokemon experiences, but found the story of Sun to be a lot more enjoyable to that of Ultra Sun.
